For any not wanting the children's party, the main reception is at Wishbech St Mary Community Centre (their website) where everyone is welcome and refreshments will be provided.
Alice says:
Quickest way is to take turning off main road to Wisbech to Leverington, Parson Drove Lane, where historic Wisbech sign is (just before 40 mile sign garage on lefthand side road ahead, reach that gone too far). Take left at end of road & follow road till junction by school, church on right choice ahead or right, go ahead. Follow road till turn left to Wisbech St Mary. Then along road till sign for left turn off for Wisbech St Mary over river. Follow this & Beechings Close On right along road signposted for the community centre.

3pm Private Crematorium Service

After the funeral service a small number of invited family and friends will go to the crematorium. Everyone else can go onto the Children's party or Main Reception.

5pm Thoughts and Memories on Seth

Continuing in Wishbech St Mary Community Centre, there will be time to think and opportunity to speak about Seth. We will also be inviting any contributions, words, photos, drawings and so on to be added to a book remembering Seth whilst there.

Help, Travel, and Accommodation

Offering Help

Please offer to help in some way, and scan the organiser pages to see if you can fit in somewhere useful.
  • Children's Party. If you would like to help or contribute from helping with decorating either hall, food for the children's party, cakes or puddings and so on for either, please post your offer of help on the Party Organiser page. If you can help at the children's party generally, can prepare some nice paper for people to write in the book on.
  • Ceilidh. If you are a caller or musician we need for the ceilidh or able to DJ the disco please post your offer of help on the Party Organiser page. Likewise if you are local and able join us to help organise. This can be done over coffee at The Granary at 10.30am on Thursday 21st or perhaps Tydd Gote Inn in the evening. If you live in London and are coming down on Saturday for the evening out (you should have a Facebook invite), this is an opportunity to chat at the pub.
  • Lifts. If you can offer a lift from anywhere and especially picking up train passengers from March or Kings Lynn and bus passengers from Long Sutton please offer on the Travel Organiser page. Likewise if you can offer between the funeral and the children's party.
  • Accommodation. If you can offer a spare bed, a bit of floor, or even garden space for a tent (yes, some of us will!), please offer on the Accommodation Organiser page.

Travel

London coach. In true FSC style, a coach has been booked to help those wishing to travel from London. This will go from the funeral to the main reception, and return to London before the end of the main reception.
Cars. If you are coming by car & can offer lifts please do so on the Travel Organiser page here. If you need a lift from anywhere please post a request here too.

Train. The nearest stations are March & Kings Lynn (timetable from Kings Cross here and here). Please put a request on the Travel Organiser page to arrange to be picked up, if possible. If not, from March, it's best to use taxis as the bus service requires using a 46 or 56 to Wisbech, then a not so frequent 50 to Tydd St Mary. From Kings Lynn the regular 505 to Sutton Bridge, a short 1.5 miles from Tydd St Mary, where you are more likely to be able to be met.

Accommodation

Really nearby, on the edge of Long Sutton, there is a Travelodge where rooms are available for £43. These can be double, twin or family rooms. The family rooms have one double & two single beds. If you have any concerns over affording to stay there may be other places to stay, there are a few limited options, please put a request on the Accommodation Organiser page.
